I got some super cute fabric a couple months ago and finally put it to use! I made some curtain holder-backers ( I have no idea what the right word is, see picture for reference) and some pillows for the couch. That’s all folks!
Oh, and those are the pears I finally got to replace my Christmas pine cones. And in the background are the pictures we found at Goodwill that we will hang up someday. I am a slow decorator. And now the curtain holder-backer thing.
Well folks, our sweet puppy Penny died yesterday. We were just as shocked as you probably are right now. She got pretty sick the second day we had her and her poor little 1lb body just had no fight against whatever she had. The vet in Spokane wasn’t convinced it was Parvo ( a nasty contagious puppy virus) so we don’t know exactly what she died from. Whatever it was we are glad she’s not suffering anymore.
It might be easy for us to be angry at the breeders, but they were incredible through the whole situation, talking us through each step. Even on the last day when we just wanted to put her down they offered to pay for their vet in Sandpoint to look at her. Unfortunately she didn’t make it through that car ride. I have nothing but good things to say about Julie and Phil Pizzaloto. They have guaranteed us the next fawn litter they have, we will only get the cream of the crop. We are already looking forward to our second chance pup.
Penny was buried where she was born and has a pretty yellow tulip growing on top of her grave. We are sad to see her go, but happy with the short time we had with her.
Rest in peace, Penny!
That’s right. She’s a 10 week old baby pug. Her name is Penny and she’s already spoiled rotten. It’s been a long time now that we’ve wanted a pug and a lot of bad lack searching for the right one. But we finally found her and she’s perfect! And tiny. Oh so tiny. She’s the runt of the litter and was born 1 pound 11 ounces. When she follows us around the house we have to keep very careful not to step on her! She sleeps a lot and slept insanely well with no whining the first night. We were very thankful for that. We are excited for her to get a little bit bigger so we can take her on walks and play with her more. But for now, we are so content just snuggling with her. We love our little Penny.
On our way home from Newport.
I’m officially half-way done with my schooling! I really still feel like I’m just getting the hang of things, but I guess that’s what you get with only a year long program. I have learned so much already and am positive I will learn about 3 times that in the second semester. Thanks to those who I got to practice massages on- I know it was a sacrifice. Also, I was able to cram my hours at work into just 3 days, so now I have a little bit more time to…do homework! However, I did bake cookies the other day which hasn’t happened in 7 months or so. It’s probably just the sunshine, but things are looking pretty great in the Lee house. Next step: getting a pug.
